Junebug Lingerie Shoot!!

Last month we got to help shoot the latest Junebug Weddings Fashion Report... all about bridal lingerie!!! It was a blast... please check it out on Junebug!

A Soolip Wedding!

Things have been quite hectic around here lately! I've been lucky enough to travel down to L.A. with the Junebug girls a few times in the last 6 months. Junebug is expanding to Southern California and we've been meeting with vendors (Mindy Weiss and Elizabeth Messina to name a couple of my favorites!) and learning more about the area. On our last trip we were the official photographers for the A Soolip Wedding show. It is a high end bridal show held in an old empty cathedral in downtown LA... so beautiful!!! I had to share a few of my shots...




The models and the dresses from Kirstie Kelly Couture were amazing!!! I couldn't stop shooting the girls :)





I loved being able to get backstage, it was fun to see all the work going on behind the scenes...



Instead of a regular runway fashion show the girls walked around the floor independantly in different dresses all afternoon. It was fun to have them mingling with the brides and to see the dresses up close!






The people at the show were so great, we even had a few celebrity sightings... yes, that is Rachel Hunter below with one of the wedding show's founders, Wanda Wen! :)

Ashley & Junebug Weddings' Summer Update!

We've had a great Summer so far... Adam's niece, Ashley, (above) was just here visiting us for 2 weeks. We loved having her around, she fit right into our hectic lifestyle... she even came with us to photo shoots and helped me adjust photos for clients! Thanks for spending time with us Ashley :)

I've also been busy working on Junebug Weddings' new Summer Fashion Report featuring photos from the wedding planning book we're writing!!
Adam and I had such a great time at Pravda (see previous post) and at our house (see previous post) shooting for Junebug :).

I love the behind the scenes photo that Adam captured above, and seeing what we were actually shooting below...


I also really loved the mantilla style veil below... I couldn't stop shooting it!!


Julie from Bella Rugosa brought the amazing tabletop set-up (shown above and below) to our house to photograph! It was all designed by Jody Taylor-Smith of Good Taste Events (she is an absolutely wonderful wedding coordinator, we were lucky to work with her at Diane and Mark's wedding last summer!)

Fun at Pravda!

Adam and I had a great time this week shooting product at Pravda Studios for the Junebug Weddings book. We shot everything from dresses, veils, and lingerie to cakes, flowers, and place settings. Erin Skipley and her assistant Chelsea did all the hair and makeup. My Junebug partners, Christy and Blair, were there orchestrating the whole event... thank goodness for Christy's organizational skills and Blair's amazing eye for light!

Angie and Ashley of One Thousand Words Photography came to help us, it was so great to have them there! Ashley brought her beautiful baby Lily... it was fun to watch her shoot with Lily hanging around (below) either on her front or on her back in a pack :).
