Our First Day!

Today we had a great first day in Paris! It was such a beautiful day we decided to wander to our favorite park, the Jardin du Luxembourg. On the way we stopped for yummy espressos for Adam and I and hot chocolates for Michelle and Jackie.
The fountain above (La Fontaine des Medicis) is a favorite of mine, and with all the leaves and fall flowers it was as beautiful as ever, I still can't believe we're here again!

It is so nice to have friends around to take photos of Adam and I... we don't have very many of the two of us! Thanks Michelle :) (check out her blog for more photos of Paris and our first day.)

The tree above was so cool, it was being held up by the wood support on the left... and still growing strong.
After our walk we stopped at another cafe for drinks and treats. Jackie got the yummy Manhattan above and it was so good we decided the extra orange rind was the perfect twist.
Now we are sitting around our studio apartment listening to great music... thanks to Rob for letting us borrow his Bose!!!
What a great day... J'aime Paris :)

Going to France

Yippie, we are in Paris.... here is a photo of our last moments in Seattle. Poor Maddie could tell something was going on, and she wasn't too happy about it. Thankfully she is in good hands with my parents, and Adam and I had a fantastic flight (our first non stop trip to Europe and now we never want to do it any other way!)

Darcy, Grant and Hazel

Adam and I had a great day... we got to meet Hazel, Darcy and Grant's one month old little girl. They came to our house today for Hazel's first official photo shoot, it was absolutely amazing to see them both as parents. I couldn't stop taking pictures :)

I met both of them at Willamette, Darcy and I were "pair partners" (I rowed right behind her) on the crew team, we shared many early mornings together.

Maddie constantly wanted to lick Hazel, it was so cute... and I loved Grant's hands holding Hazel's little head.

Thank you both for sharing this precious time with us, congratulations!

Rhiannon and Jeff are engaged!

Yippie!! Two of our best friends, Rhiannon and Jeff are officially engaged...

We celebrated with them tonight, and got to check out Rhiannon's GORGEOUS ring, designed by Jeff!

I forced our camera on them... I just loved seeing Jeff tell their engagement story (photo below on the left), and both of them deep in thought about a potential wedding location (on the right.) Adam and I are so excited to be a part of their wedding planning process... thanks guys!!

Junebug Photo Shoot

Adam and I had fun shooting today, here are some of the photos...
We did the shoot at a really cool restaurant downtown called Tavolata.

The girls were so fun, and we all had a great time.... I really loved my job today!

The shoot was for Junebug, for our next fashion report... posted on the site November 1st :).

Erin Skipley
did the make-up and hair, she's also going to France with Adam and I at the end of the month to do all the styling, hair, and make-up there, yeah.

Rainy day in Seattle

Oh how I love it when it rains, it always reminds me of why I am so glad to live in Seattle :). We are about to leave the house for a wedding, but I had to post a few photos I took this morning.
Every day I sit with Maddie outside on the porch drinking my yummy coffee (made by Adam.) Often neighbors come by to chat, Joyce came by today with her big broom. She was walking the neighborhood clearing the storm drains! She is so great, our neighborhood "watcher", I always go to her if I need to know what is going on.
Maddie was really sad that it was raining so hard, she was so adorable! Happy rainy Sunday!

I just had a fantastic weekend with my girlfriends from Willamette!!!
The photos say it all... my only complaint is that there wasn't enough time :). Can't wait until next year!!!

Some photos to share!

Adam shot these photos at a recent wedding and I had to share :) sooo pretty!

Jessica and Justin were such a joy to photograph. We first met them in March at the zoo to do their engagement photos (their first date had been at the zoo.) They had such a great time and started getting so excited for their 2008 wedding that they moved the date up a year!!!

We had one Saturday still open in August, so they booked it and started planning! Jessica found her AMAZING dress at Anthropologie on sale for $50.00, I am not kidding... she is good at finding deals (her awesome hairpiece was from ebay.) They were married outside in a beautiful garden on Bainbridge Island at a family friend's home. They drove away in a vintage Ford and they're now in Thailand for 8 months!!! It was such a perfect day, and we felt so lucky to be a part of all the fun.

We are going back to France! Yippie!

We did our first photo shoot yesterday with the model and makeup artist that we are going to France with this November!
The designer who designed my wedding dress, Madina Vadache, is sending Adam and I to Paris and to the chateau where we got married to do a photo shoot of her 2008 "couture" and wedding dress line! I feel like I am dreaming...
We only had about a 1/2 hour with the model... but it was so much fun, I can't imagine how fantastic it will be in Paris!!

Our Neighbor Jo

We LOVE our neighbor Jo, she is the sweetest woman, and she considers Adam her hero... you can ask him why! :) All summer long she has been giving me the most beautiful flowers and today she gave us some yummy tomatoes from her garden!

I do have to say though, to see some really really big tomatoes check out my friend Rosie's blog... her husband, Josh, and their kids have grown some of the largest tomatoes I have seen in awhile!

One of our recent weddings...

Michelle and Jeff were married on Labor Day, Congratulations guys!
The week before the wedding we met them at Greenlake to do engagement photos (Jeff had proposed to Michelle on a dock at Greenlake :)) We weren't sure what to expect, we hadn't met Jeff, and we knew he wasn't very into photos. When they walked up, the first words out of Jeff's mouth were "Hey, I know you Adam!" Ironically he and Adam worked together at REI years ago, before Jeff moved to Georgia.... and they had been great friends.
From that point on Jeff was TOTALLY into the photos and we had a fantastic time. What a small world we live in, I am pleasantly surprised by it all the time.

Chowder's Birthday Party!

Maddie's best friend Chowder had a 1st birthday party last month and we had a great time...
We all played hide and seek, ate cookies shaped like dog bones, and watched the dogs play. Maddie really enjoyed her doggie cupcake :). Sadly, we haven't had time to have a party for Maddie's 1st birthday... maybe next year.

Our Swimmer!

We had a great day yesterday taking Madeline swimming for the first time. We went down to Lake Washington to a little
hidden beach. She LOVED it, and we spent the whole time laughing at how cute she was. She was a complete natural... no coaxing needed, we're so proud!

Published in Seattle Met Magazine!

Yippie! We have a 3 page photo spread in the brand new Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom Magazine... yeah La Vie!

Steph and Ken had a fantastic wedding, we are so thankful to have been a part of it, and to have such a beautiful layout in Seattle Met... I can't get over it.
